I have just gone through my first donor egg transfer and I was prescribed 5mg folic acid from the start of the treatment.
Last Wednesday I got a positive result and the instructions from my clinic (which is in Greece) was to now to continue with Folic Acid as per my GP advise.
I live in the Middle East as we don’t have GPs as such. I have booked my first hospital appointment for next Saturday which would make me 6 and half weeks pregnant.
My question is should I continue with the 5mg of folic Acid till then or just take the amount in the multivitamin ?
Can you take too much folic Acid ?
Many thanks in advance xx

Hi Dreamer0204. Well done! Around 400 micro grams of folic acid is recommended daily until 12 weeks of pregnancy. See what is in your tablet and make up the difference if necessary. Happy pregnancy. Diane
