My friend is coming round on day 5 of my 2ww. She's studying reflexology and says she'll give me a session to help me relax. I really want to have a go but I'm just wondering - is it advisable in the 2ww? I'll ask my clinic too. Anyone here had any experience of reflexology? X
I've had no experience but If its not something you've tried before pregnancy it's something I wouldn't ever risk while I'm hoping to get pregnant especially during the 2ww. No way! My clinic gave me a huge list of things I couldn't do... there are loads of other ways to relax, i wanted a BFP so bad that I would think a 100 times before eating or doing anything anyone else suggests.
Sorry for sounding a bit harsh but I'd only do what I feel comfortable with and the moment I'd have to think or ask anyone else about it I would throw the idea straight out.

I guess I am worried which is why I know I must have posted this - so thank you for your response, I'll kindly let my friend know that it's a no to reflexology but I'll treat her to dinner and I'd love a chat! X
Yes definately do that hun, I am sure even if you were to tell her your concern she would/should understand. It's very important to stay calm, relax and keep yourself happy so don't think of anything you wouldn't want to do these 2 weeks because only your in control. 😃 😘
I had loads of little pampering 🙈, I had hair conditioning, various facials, nail treatments during this time, it kept me happy and entertained. I am now 7 weeks today. X

Yes it was lovely and emotional seeing the 2 hearts beating I was so happy.
Everyone body is different, and when I had quiet a lot of spotting I was panicked as had clotting too, that was at 5 weeks passed 5dt I went into EPU and they scanned me and said I'm having twins, they are great as they have scheduled a scan for me every 2 weeks u till I am handed over to pre natal unit.
For you, yes it's very very early to know how many have stuck... you will need to wait atleast 18-20 days I guess.
Twins are so special xxxx I only had one embryo put back as I'm on my first NHS round and the clinic said that was what I had to have - but there wasn't a second good enough one anyway! X
Yes I've been reading your posts, don't give up hope, I was actually annoyed at your clinic,first of all only transferring one whereas you had 4 others too, it's unfortunate they didn't make it to freeze but NHS could've done better and transferred atleast 2.
Never give up hope though. I'll keep you in my prayers.

Reflexology can be quite powerful, I had it for my endo years back and found it incredibly painful. It didn't help my endo either.
I know its useful for TTC naturally, and maybe before ET. But in the 2WW, I think you should avoid it. I am no expert but if I was on 2ww day 5 in, I think id be scared, particularly because she is not fully qualified yet.
If the cycle failed after having it, I'd possibly blame and wouldn't want to put a friend in that position.

You're right, I am worried about it so I think I'll have to politely turn the reflexology down in such an important and sensitive time x
My understanding is that with things like reflexology and acupuncture there are certain areas that should be avoided if you’re pregnant. So you should only ever get them from a person qualified in pregnancy versions of them. Maybe one to miss this time x

A lot of practitioners of alternative therapies will not touch you in the first trimester, it's risky, I think they probably don't do it for insurance purposes as well, so I do not think I would have the treatment. Particularly I would not have a treatment from someone who is studying and not fully qualified. It's not worth the risk for either of you I don't think.
Hey, I had reflexology prior to my ET and my reflexologist told me that after ET she would not reccommend reflexology. If I did wish to continue with it she said it's not advisable until you reach 12+ weeks of pregnancy xxx

I've now turned down my friend's reflexology offer and she said she was thinking that maybe it wasn't a great idea anyway so that's good! X
