So our first scan is coming up, it's on Tuesday. I'm absolutely terrified.
Still don't seem to have any "symptoms". Today I'm 6 weeks 5 days.
My boobs occasionally ache. Some days I feel like a hungover feeling and other days I feel fine. The only thing that's been consistent for the past few days is I have a mouth like sandpaper and it won't shift, my sister said this is something she had during pregnancy so I'm hoping it's a good sign π€
Do you need a full bladder for the first scan? Thinking about it now I don't even think I'll be able to look at the little screen, too scared! Is this normal?
Thanks everyone

Good luck. We had ours early because of our scare but have our clinic one on Monday. Iβm also scared. On Monday we couldnβt see the screen - the lady told us what she could see and then turned the screen around for us to see.
In terms of symptoms Iβve had sore boobs still and quite bad nausea - from 3/4am and every time I get hungry throughout the whole day! Not everyone gets that though - my sister didnβt have any nausea at all. Iβve also got a sandpapery mouth.
Iβm sure all will be fine but it is scary. Iβve still been having a bit of spotting - dark and then pink yesterday and mild pains so am worried somethingβs amiss but trying to stay positive.
I think the early scan is a internal one and you will need a empty bladder.
I had my BFP this week I have nausea and also the sand paper mouth I'm waking up like I've been drinking on a all dater lol and gasping for water. Apart from that I don't really have any symptoms not even sore boobs.
I wish you lots of luck and I'm sure all will be fine. Keep us updated with how you get on x
The sandpaper mouth is awful, I have it all day it just won't go. Makes me feel sick it's so dry. I've bought some chewy sweets as I read it can't help ease the dryness so π€
Thank you. Really hope it's good news. I'll update eveyone as soon as I know xxx
Need some warrior spirit and positive thinking going into this scan. Although itβs easier said than done.
Itβs normal to be anxious and itβs normal not to have symptoms and still be pregnant. I had nothing apart from tiredness and af cramping due to the stretching.
Hi Amanda86. As far as I know you don't need to have a full bladder, as it will be an internal scan. The dry mouth can sometimes be due to taste changes which may soon happen. Try not to be scared, as often you don't get much in the way of symptoms so early on. You will look at the screen as it is the first time you get to say "hello" to your little "bean" - amazing. I shall be thinking of you. Diane
Thanks Diane. I would definitely love to say hello to our little bean π Really hope we get to meet them!
Yeah I think that could be why I have the dry mouth, I have actually gone off most fizzy juice and also gone off Indian food which is usually my favourite. Let's hope although the dry mouth is so horrible that it's a good sign π€ Xxx
I have my first scan on Tuesday too. I had a bit of a scare today as having some dark brown spotting on and off. My ovary is also acting up. The nurse at the clinic was brilliant calming me down though. Just gone home from work and trying to relax now.
Itβs so stressful and worrying! Good luck for your scan, hoping we both get to see our little beans xxx
Just want to wish you good luck mine is Wednesday, and yes I too am very excited but also very nervous, just want everything to be ok, I have the dry mouth thought it was down to the meds, other than that just little cramps here and there, sore boobs π€ππππ£ππ
Good luck to you also. Hope it not down to just meds, I was telling my friend she's currently pregnant with her second. Said she had the dry mouth throughout the first trimester π€’Horrible. I keep dry heaving too, happens a few times a day and just out of nowhere.
I've gone off all food because my mouth is so dry the thought of eating actually repulses me. I've just been eating small amounts when I fancy them, I'm living off capri suns as they're so refreshing for the mouth lol xxx
