Hi everyone

I’ve read that DHEA isn’t recommended for sufferers of PCOS, are they any alternatives?

Hi Skybid. Metformin is often recommended to absorb extra insulin in the body cells, so that the pituitary and hypothalamus glands in the brain can send a clear message through to your ovaries for one of them to ovulate. Sometimes Clomid is added after a couple of months treatment. Women have also had success with acupuncture. Good luck with whatever you choose, or is prescribed for you. Diane

Hi Diane

I’ve never had a problem with my cycle, regular every month...don’t suffer with acne either.

I wondered if I could still take dhea as I neither of the above effect me?

Hi Skybid. It's more often used for ladies with poor ovarian reserve - low AMH to hopefully encourage more eggs to release during IVF. It is a form of steroid, so best to speak to your specialist before trying it. Good luck! Diane
