Finally had our appointment... lots to take it. When will we see the light at the end of the tunnel?

After an agonising 2 month wait! We’ve finally had our next appointment!

My husband has been told he’s got to have more bloods taken for chromosomes test, genetic testing and hormone/testosterone testing. But it can take 8 to 10 weeks to get results!!! They need to check he’s not a carrier of CF and also to make sure it’s going to be healthy sperm before they use it. As long as his results are ok then they’ll do a testicle biopsy to get a sample to use for IVF.

The doctor has said he wants to see us again in 3 months to go over all the results and discuss next steps. I feel like we’re one tiny step closer but we still have a long way to go before we see the light whinging at the end of the tunnel!

That a good step. I remember there to be so many blood tests at the start. It def feels like it takes ages!! Once you get the go ahead though it felt pretty quick from there to start tbh. Took us about 6-7 months to get to started with ivf. You will def get there and then all just goes so quick like can't believe am almost done with my ivf process now. Soak it all up and look after yourselves at this stage. Good luck and take care ☺️
