Hello,

This might be a silly question but I'm in my tww and I was wondering about getting my nails and toes done with shellac and an eye brow wax and tint as a wee treat? I then panicked and thought maybe it's not recommended during the tww. Can any of you lovely ladies shed any light on this?

I was thinking the same for when I have my ttw. Although I would say have it done but maybe give the tint a miss this time round. Good luck x

I'm not sure you should expose yourself to the harsh chemicals (shellac). I read it somewhere.

Think getting your eye brows done wound be fine - though I'm not sure about a tint. Does the dye come into contact with your skin?

Personally I gave up all chemicals (as much as is possible) from my soap and shampoo to my deodorant.

I asked the nurse at my clinic a similar question last week about getting my hair dyed and she saw no issue with it saying it does harm hairdressers when they're pregnant handling the chemicals x

I ditched all chemicals just Incase. That's no definitive research either way but didn't want to take any risks. The wax would be ok but the chemicals in shellac and hair dye might be questionable. How about a massage instead?

I'd avoid the tint and shellac - not worth the risk. Xx
