HSG test first time 😣 irregular periods 😒

Hi there all

Im having a hsg test soon after p starts. Ppl with irregular cycles how was it for you? Did people get pregnant quickly after it? Did the dye open up the tubes if they were blocked?

I have s success story! I had a lap and dye which tubes were checked ( the same way they are like an HSG) and endometriosis was found and treated. I conceived the first month of trying since the lap! I'm 5 weeks pregnant.My consultant said having dye run through does boasts your chances ( obviously providing tubes are clear). Good luck I hope it helps you fall xoxo

Can't comment on the thyroid issue tho I'm sure other ladies will be able to. Is it being treated? xoxo sorry just nosyed at your profile ( hope you don't mind) my TSH is 3.9 and made no impact on conceiving- my endometriosis was our issue. xoxo

Have to have another blood test once p starts. Am already 2 weeks beyond the due date for periods. Did a test this morning it was negative 👎🏽 did one last wk that was negative too.

Wonder if I should induce this period somehow but dont want to mess things up!!xx

Was it with the first urine of the day? ( That can make a huge difference to testing). I have had friends who didn't test positive until they were over 6 weeks pregnant. I would insist on a HCG blood test either via clinic or GP to get a definite answer. And go from there xoxo

Yh was first saved it up all night lol tmi 😂😂 anyways dr was sayin with TSH of 4.4 v unlikely i wud b pregnant and if somehow i did risk of mc is too high x

Ok that makes sense. I had a NK cell blood test done last year and it was slightly raised - my consultant said it wasn't high enough to prevent conception but if I fell pregnant he would issue Prednisone 5MG x 2 daily in the early weeks to ensure my immune system couldn't attack the embryo. I'm sure the consultant would issue thyroid Meds once you are confirmed to be pregnant ( to lessen the miscarriage risk). I remember feeling disappointed when he wouldn't issue Prednisone whilst trying ( but now know he was right and like I have said before it was my endometriosis only diagnosed in June which caused our infertility) Definitely insist on a blood test- you need answers either way. xoxo

Heyy I had HsG 2 months ago! We have unexplained. Id built myself up so much for the procedure (and pain!) and didn't feel a thing. I haven't had my follow up appointment but they told me at procedure my tubes werent blocked so maybe why it was pain free. I took my 1st period after HsG 21days after last one and usually my cycle in 28days spot on. I am due again on Monday (which would be 28days) and I have been cramping for the past 4days and sore boobs as if my period is coming and still nothing!! Keep going to the bathroom to check 🙈 Scared to take a test incase I get really disappointed!!xx

Hey sometimes i guess it takes time so dont worry ☺️☺️ i read in other places 3-6 months is avg for bfp xx
