So we got 18 eggs which sounds great but they also found a mass that they think is fluid over my ovary.we had to choose whether to carry on with fertilisation or wait until October for testing (laparoscopy)This would mean all eggs would be frozen but may not be viable to re-freeze later. So we carried on in hope that they will be ok and will have the test later if it doesn't take.

On antibiotics not just incase it's an infection. Waiting for a call tomorrow now to find out how many fertilised 🀞🏻🀞🏻🀞🏻🀞🏻🀞🏻

Hi Gem11. Well good news and bad news. However, on the whole you have done very well, and even if you have to have your little embies frozen, they will be quite safe until you are ready for a FET. I'm sure they've told you to rest and drink plenty of water, and hopefully the fluid will reabsorb. Take care and I will be thinking of you. Diane

Do u think it could be positive, they have never seen the liquid before today and I had a dye test before which was clear . I hope carrying on was the best idea?😍

Hi Gem11. Did they say if the fluid was coming from your ovary, if so, it should eventually reabsorb and you will be able to go ahead with FET. Diane

No they think it's in my tube and creating a back wash effect, effecting implantation but it's never been noticed before on any scans. I had the dye test on my tubes in 2015 and they were clear then. It looked like a upside down smile dark patch over my ovary. Just heard back we had 10 fertilise x

Hi. Right. Then don't be surprised if they want to remove it or clip it before proceeding with FET. Good luck! Xx

The doctor said that if we continued it wouldn't be touched at all this time but if it didn't work it would need investigating x is that bad?? Where has it come from???

Hi. Goodness knows, maybe a bit of infection. It is called a hydrosalpinx. Excess fluid normally leaks out into the pelvis through the open end. If it can't get out it leaks into the womb, and many specialists believe that the fluid can prevent implantation of a developing embryo, so they often clip or remove the poorly tube. Diane

Oh gosh Gem. What a stressful day for you. I'm so sorry you've had to contend with this as well as EC which takes it out of you anyway. I'm thinking of you lots and praying that they can get it sorted asap. Sending you the biggest hug Sweetie. xxx

Hi, I've got something to similar! My HSG was clear but my scan showed some kind of fluid on/in my tube. De to previous surgery and associated risks they can't investigate, won't remove or clip as it could be fine so have proceeded with treatment but will probably have it drained when they collect the eggs and then be on antibiotics after. Just an added something to contend with. Just got to trust they know what they are doing. Thinking of you x

At least they'll drain it for u, we've been offered nothing ☹️ in just hoping the antibiotics gets rid of it and it works. We just couldn't risk freezing them before fertilised as it would be typical they'd be great and can't be refrozen xx

What a horrible surprise. Not what you expected to contend with. I do hope they can reassure you a bit more and guide you as to what is best to do. Try to stay positive. (I'm sure that's almost impossible but try) Well done for getting 10 embies. That's a good number xxx
