So me and my girlfriend have been talking about starting a family and going forward with IVF over the next year. (Hoping to start the journey around Christmas time).
I'm completely clueless about basically everything IVF! I've done a little research but we haven't discussed it much until recently.
Does anyone have any tips, advice, recommendations?
What are the first steps and the options we have?
I am wanting to carry the baby however I have endometriosis so I am slightly worried about the complications.
Also curious about how NHS funding works if anybody has experienced it?
Thanks so so much for any help or advice!
Excited to be planning this journey.

We're about to embark on the process now, so far it's been pretty smooth, Doc referral, appointments with fertility nurse and then with dr.
We've just filled in all the permission forms and today we should find out when we actually start our meds!
From what I gather there is no set journey it is very personalised in terms of meds delivered and time frames but they do go through everything with you and explain everything as you go. I do feel like I'm in good hands (despite the total lack of control!!)
I also have endo and this doesn't seem to be a problem to them.
Funding wise if you google your local pct you should be able to find guidelines online.
Good luck and any questions you're in a good place they guys on here are very knowledgeable!!
Eek that's so exciting! I'm so happy for you. What a lovely journey to be starting. It sounds like you're in the best hands and are getting all the support and advice you need to get to your end dream.
How long have you and your partner been together?
Not planning to see a doctor for a few months yet. Just want to do lots of research and look at my options. Want to try understand more about the process before we start. Ultimately I cannot wait though. I'm hoping my endometriosis Dosent impact too much on my fertility.
