Received information that donor egg collection is on Thursday. We fly to Greece on Saturday and embryo transfer next Tuesday. This is our first cycle. Excited, bit nervous and anxious. All quite surreal too but feel so privileged to have this option to try and get our bundle of joy!

Thanks Diane. Yes I am grateful to this young lady. I wish I could thank her one day. We are having a bit of a break too albeit a bit of a different holiday.

Thanks for remembering Freda. We have heard that there are 11 eggs donated, next 24 hours will be telling of whether they are any quality. Did your transfer go ok? X

Thats fantastic news and sounds really positive! 😀 I'll be thinking of you over the next 24 hours and hoping you get lots fertilising. I hope you can enjoy the scenery there in the meantime to take your mind off it.

Our ET was a bit of a to do but we got there in the end and it wasn't too bad. We have one on board. It's amazing to see a little pic of it, which we were allowed to keep. I just kept staring at it afterwards. We've been super lucky in having some to freeze too. Now it's the 2WW. I've taken the time off work - can't face the packed London Underground - so now I have to find stuff to keep busy.

Yeah I think 11 is around the average. We are not in Greece until Saturday. I have 1 more day at work tomorrow, how I will concentrate I don't know. I have found work more difficult as time leading upto now. Totally understand how you want to avoid crowds and bustle if things. We will have 2 days relaxing in the sun before transfer on Tuesday. I also have 2 weeks off from tomorrow and do have things planned.

I get you on the staring at pictures. I keep re reading emails and even staring at my uss scan. I think it is just that I am taking it all in really. Bet even more amazing staring at wee blasto imagining what it will become. So pleased you have done to freeze. That is now my present anxiety along with having at least one to transfer... it is a journey!

I will enjoy some UK sun today, hope you have some where you are x

Hi I'm sure with those numbers you should get frosties. Try to relax and enjoy the 'holiday' when it comes. I was lucky because I was on a course at work last week and so didn't need to be on form. Made it a bit easier. Can you just walk around holding papers and looking like you're busy? Just do what you can. Work is secondary right now! Not long to go now!

I'm off down to the coast and to see my mum for a few days on Sunday so that will keep me busy. Need to do something today and make the most of this sunshine!
