Well after my first consultant with the fertility nurse she advised that I start trying acupuncture, so I have my first appointment on Thursday evening. I just wondered who else had tried this and what they thought of it x x x

Acupuncture - first appointment π
I love it! I started after our first cycle and have had 6 treatments. I think it's amazing! I'm definitely more relaxed and he's trying to improve my circulation too. Enjoy! x
I'm really enjoying it. I made sure I got a fertility specialist acupuncturist which I would recommend if there's one near you. Request a toxin drain... mine did one and I really think it made a big difference to my wellbeing.
Also, mine told me it is best to start working with them a little while before having any treatment, so they can get your body in the right state, as it were.
Only thing is, it is expensive. And the costs have soon mounted up for me as I've been going every week
I really like it! I've been having it a few months & just had my 2nd ivf cycle & found out yesterday it was a positive!! Very early days but Im gonna continue with acupuncture for at least the first 12 weeks of pregnancy xxx
I have been doing it weekly it's pricey though mine was Β£50 a time and I claimed half back through my heakth insurance so maybe worth looking into that. I cant say if ihere a helped as I'm not at the end of the process yet but it definitely relaxes me and felt the lady knew what she was talking about. Good luck x
I had acupuncture at easter and another session on monday.i should be having another one after EC tomorrow .im not sure if its before or after ET though.i will keep you posted on the number of eggs collected.i had some mucousy discharge after my monday session(tmi).the acupuncturist told me that was a good sign.i say go for it.
Hi, I started acupuncture after my first failed cycle, was a bit unsure after the first appointment but since then it's been great, so relaxing, have a little sleep during sessions now! and I think it's already helped my last period was less painful and no spotting for a week before it starts which is a big bonus, apparently its helping with circulation and balancing the body. It's not cheap but the lady I see is a fertility specialist and I do feel less stressed, I'm willing to give anything a try to help with our frozen cycle.
Good luck with everything x
