Faint bfp on OTD 😔

So today was otd at 11dp5dt. I got a bfp and should be happier but it was very faint and I think that's me out. It's my first ever bfp so of course I'm pleased we at least got this far, but I can't help feeling deflated because I'm convinced it should be quite dark by now...

When is your test day lovely? This is good news, phone the clinic and they'll probably do a blood test to confirm, or ask you to test again tomorrow. Try to stay positive xxx

It's today. I did call the clinic, they said to repeat in a couple of days if I was worried... thanks for the encouragement. Xxx

A positive is still a positive see if your clinic will offer a blood test xx

Congratulations-I'm so happy for you.

I think it's normal to for the line to be faint- it gets darker as the pregnancy progreses. The other thing is if you test early it needs to with first urine of the day-that can have an effect on the test.

Do Remember it's still early days and most people wouldn't test (if not ttc) till they are a week of two late.

I agree with aleelilook call your clinic about the postive test-they can arrange for you to have a hcg blood test to put your mind at rest.

Can you upload a pic? Which test did you use? When I was pregnant, I didn't test until I was 6 weeks and it was very faint. They fluctuated between faint dark medium etc, try not to worry, a BFP is a BFP!! whispering congrats 🎉🎈 ❤️🍾

It's an Alere test which was given to me by the clinic. I didn't take a pic and I'm at work now. Will do that tonight.

I found the test given to me from the clinic was sooo faint! I whipped out and got a clear blue (not the digital) and the line was so much darker!

Did you not see my squinter pic? I've taken a clearblue digital this morning to check. No lines and you just wait for the result including number of weeks. Mine tested positive as expected.

Yours is a positive! You can add pictures to the post if you want assurance but a faint line is a positive no matter how faint.

Congratulations, no such thing as a false positive! My line never got really dark so I used a digital one for reassurance in the beginning and then just accepted the line was what it was 😉 So start believing its real!!! I know its easier said than done though lol xoxo

Pana I am in the same boat as you, got a positive this morning but doubting it! Hopefully it's all in our heads and we just need to believe that it's actually real!! As the other girls have said, a line is a line so I wouldn't worry about the darkness of it 👍 Congratulations! Xxx

Aw congrats to you 😊 All sounds good and like the others have said I bet on a clear blue or frer it will be a much Stronger line as it's still very early days. Fingers crossed for you and if the clinic won't do bloods request them from your doc as this will def put your mind at ease. The worry never stops! xx

My line was so faint and didn't really get darker until 3 or 4 days after the official test date. As many have said a line is a line congratulations and good luck xx

I had very faint line even at 12dp5dt. The blood test will confirm everything so don't lose hope

Thanks for your reply, that's good to know. My clinic don't do bloods tests (NHS thing?) and will see me for a scan in 3 weeks so just gotta pray!!

Sometimes the line can be faint.i know it's frustrating but in a couple of days u might get a better line!! Don't lose hope yet-the fact there is a line at all is brilliant xxx
