Update from me and spa day..?

Hi all

Little update from me, I have just recently received the NHS funding approval and we had an appointment at our fertility clinic on Thursday just gone.

Our consultant amazingly said we can start with my next period which will be at the end of the month!! I'm apparently having the short antagonist protocol, I'm not sure why he's chosen the short protocol as he said everything was fine with me and I thought that protocol was for ladies who were at risk for ohss. But trusting that he of course knows what's for the best. And good news is it is a very quick process so will all be over by early April, including the 2ww!

All in all feeling very grateful and lucky that our clinic have been so efficient and able to accommodate us so soon.

It's my husbands birthday coming up and I was wondering about booking a spa weekend away for us. So, does anyone know if massages, jacuzzi etc are ok while you're going through the stimming process? I know that it wouldn't be suitable after ET (and hopefully beyond that!), but just not sure of the restrictions in the run up to it.

Thanks in advance ladies. Sending you all positive vibes and good wishes xxx

Morning. Great news.

I was told no to messages as that can have an impact on any medication that you are taken however a facial was ok.

Check with them about use of the steam/sauna etc l.

Good luck xx

Thank you for your help Jules! That makes sense. I will see what they say re jacuzzi etc. Maybe I'll just sit by the pool all day 😁 Xx

I would also stay away from massages and any aromatic oils even with the facial.. you can have some heat while stimming (e.g. hot water bottle) but no heat after ET (including the hot water bottles, hot baths, sauna, steam room etc.) Best check with your clinic and spa place before going.. better to be overly cautious than complacent 😃 Good luck for your journey and enjoy your spa day - by the poolside relaxing with a manicure lol xoxo

Thanks Nesfin! totally agree, better safe than sorry. Haha yes I think I shall remain poolside! I'm sure my husband can entertain himself in the sauna! 😁😁 xxx

I just had my birthday and had to bring injections with me and we had a nice city break. We enjoy spa breaks normally but didn't think kind it was right for what I was going through. Seems to me like a waste if you can only enjoy part of it and your hubby probably enjoy it more also if you could take part fully xx
