Hello all, I am so glad that I found this forum. My partner and I are trying to find some help and advice and best route and any other information we can get in regards to the process for same-sex couples and trying to get pregnant. I want to carry the baby and endure the lovely experience of pregnancy and all that comes with it. I am trying to start the process and all of that as soon as I can but I am not sure where to even begin. Any advice is helpful.
Signed,
Hopeful Mother To Be.

Hello and welcome this site is such a saviour for everyone going through this. You need to see your GP so you can get a referral to a fertility clinic they will probs carry out some routine tests aswell x
Thank you very much for your reply. My partner and I were also thinking about finding a friend to be a donor but we still wanted to get their sperm tested and that sort of this or whatever gets tested lol. Do you know anything about this?
Welcome Mesh! it's a great place to share your issues and you may count on being understood and having advice here. I didn't face the same thing but as far as see all you need is ivf. it doesn't matter if your partner is of the same sex, you don't need to be married to start your treatment...you want to carry a baby on your own, then you need to be extremely healthy, you need to have different tests whhich confirms your reproductive systems is alright. if so you could use your own eggs and a clinic will provide you with donor sperm. if you need to use your friend's sperm then he need to be tested of course...Anyways you need to start with your med examination then you need to start lookinf a clinic to have your treatment in...
