Acupuncture and more....

Hello again ladies, need a little advice..... I'm waiting for round two, either Dec or Jan depending on cycle, and thought this time I'd be a. It more prepared. I went to see an acupuncturist, and a reflexologist, and my friend also recommended a nutritionist, but I don't want to go bankrupt any time soon! Just wondered if people had a preference? Xx

I had reflexology this time just before egg collection. There is no research to suggest it helps with IVF but it sure does relax you and if that helps get a BFP then worth it.

I don't think you need to pay out for a nutritionist just follow a healthy diet with lots of fruit and veg and drinks lots Of water and take your vitamins.

Good luck to you xxx

Hi, this is a tough one but also very expensive so you do have to put a lot of thought into it. I decided to see a nutritionalist before my FET as I'd suffered with adult acne for years and couldn't help but feel something was imbalanced in my body, even though I wasn't having any symptoms with my stomach etc. It was very worthwhile and I tweaked my diet a lot because of what we found out. She also gave me recommendations for vitamins and supplements to buy from an online pharmacy as often the ones in the supermarkets have other bits in them which means they are not as great (sorry I'm not being very technical but just trying to be brief!)

I also found a fertility acupunctureist and started before my FET and I really believe she helped to get my body into the prime condition. She was also like a private councillor and talked through every emotion, thought and feeling which helped me so much. It was an extra expense but for me it was the right choice. Good luck in whatever you decide to do xxx

These things can sure all add up! I'm doing acupuncture which I did in my last cycle. My lest one I felt was good but decided to see someone closer to home this time. She is very thorough, has gone through my entire medical history and my diet. Got some great advice about my diet and advice about what I should be doing at home too to help! I'm not sure what to advise you but just wanted to share my experience of acupuncture! Good luck xx

Thank you 😊 it's good to get other people's views on all of this, you can feel like you're going a bit mad at times! Think I'll do the acupuncture, and maybe put the reflex on hold for a bit, thanks again girls xx

Hi Aleelilook. I would go for the acupuncture as reflexology can use oils that can sometimes react with fertility drugs. Good luck and hope it helps. Diane
