It's all go...

Hi Girls,

Sorry I've not posted for a while, wasn't in the best place, but feeling more positive.

Medication arrived last week and we went for our drug appointment today - showed us how to do the injections and explained everything (although still a lot to take in).

I'm starting on oral meds tomorrow (3 times a day) it's called norethisterone, until I go for baseline scan on 22nd November. The nurse said I'll start my injections (merional) on that day (1 per day) then another injection is introduced (not sure when) called cetrotide.

Egg collection around 5th December, all being well so I have the trigger shot before that (gonasi).

Feel like I'm really going on now, sorry!!!

It's all starting to make more sense now xxx

Hi Crocodile80. Well, you certainly seem to be getting your head round it all - well done! Looks like an OK regime to me, so all I can do is to wish you all the best, and of course - for success! Diane

Hi there I'm on a very similar cycle to you. We have had 5 failed iui now starting first round of ivf been on pill for 3 weeks start testosterone patches in few days then injections next week. You commented on one of my posts about exercise just wondering what you had decided to do? I'm going to pull back on high impact continue with light weights in pump classes. Love to know what you've been told and decided to do?

Hi nbigland,

Hope you're well.

I have decided to stop training as advised by the hospital. I usually do Crossfit, heavy weight training - pretty much high impact - it's been a week now and I'm missing it.

I've been walking a lot though - I don't want my body to be working too hard I guess.

It was a hard decision as its a big part of my life, but if the cycle is successful I can go back training (obviously much less intense).

How often have you been exercising? Xxxx

It sounds like the right decision. I usually teach 2x combat classes per week plus 4x pump classes. I have reduced the intensity of my workouts over the last 6 months since we started treatment. I will stop teaching combat once start stimulation injections and think I'll continue with 2 x pumps under very light weights til egg transfer then will stop teaching. I also walk my 2 dogs each day. My body is used to being active I've been teaching for over 20 years so really hoping I'm making the right decision. Quite stressful really

Sounds like a good plan! It's not easy making decisions and I don't think there is a right or wrong way, our body's are all different aren't they.

Xxxx
