Just intrigued as to who put the injections in their leg and who put them in their stomach and what your reasons were? Did the nurse suggest one or the other or was it your choice? Did you do them yourselves or let your partner do them?? Xx

Injections, leg or stomach?!
Depends, stomach for me, just take it slow, I've seen dart 🎯 throwing technique which is crazy, lol DO NOT TRY( crazy ladies out there on you tube) but if like me you have that little belly fat take it slow and inject 4 fingers away below your belly button. Slow injection and early mornings works wonders for me, better I think too as the body wakes up, like breakfast, the injection is the most important meal of the day lolas I've heard a few ladies take it The evenings (unless GONAL F) which is 100% to be taken in the evenings xxx All the best and positive vibes x
I was given the choice. My OH does them. I chose my stomach because I have a bit of flab to pinch there which I think is easier than my leg lol X
I agree about the stomach. My OH won't even be in the same room when I'd do mine! The first one was tricky because I was so tentative...as soon as I has done one or two though it was fine. Just watch your angle and commit to it - it oddly becomes like second nature quite quickly ... good luck x
I started in my tummy but after a couple of weeks I ran out of needles and the new ones I got were a tiny bit thicker and I struggled so ended up putting them in my legs as my tummy was like a pincushion . Some parts of my tummy I couldn't feel it and some I could. I couldn't do it if it hurt so ended up trying all over til I found a section that didn't hurt. The bigger needles bruised me too. I asked nurse why others were smaller and apparently they were kids ones. But they didn't have that size when i got my new ones. 😕 I think jUst try both areas and see what works for you or alternate x
Our nurse told me tummy but to alternate sides and avoid the same place as last. She said anywhere below the belly button really! I asked my husband to do them so he felt included/involved but after about 5mins of deep breaths (from him, not me) he decided he was too scared! Ha ha ha I gave myself some crackers of bruises at the start but got better and it's not sore really!x
The nurse recommended the tops of my thighs, but I actually first tried the tummy - the practice injection at the clinic was so easy and I didn't feel anything, so I thought I'll stick with that. But when it came to the actual injections (I was doing bureseliln and later menopur in the evenings), the tummy hurt like hell and was itching so much, I spent the whole evening crying in frustration/panic. Then, after googling I went for the sides of the thighs with a little ice pack to numb the area first, it still hurt but was a little better than the tummy. Next time I saw the nurse, she said to try the tops of the thighs as these are less painful... I think she was right, these were the least painful areas, or maybe I was just getting used to the injections by then! I did them myself, although my partner was there to assist with the preparations etc In the end, i discovered that for me it was watching the needle go in that made it more painful - some sort of psychological aversion I guess - so I developed a technique of: aim, shut my eyes, plunge and then finish the injection... You do get used to them one way or another! Good luck X
