Radio 4 programme

There's an interesting programme on BBC radio 4 at the moment looking at the fertility 'business'. It's called In Business - Making Babies: the Business of Fertility.

Just thought some people might be interested to download and listen to it.

Just listened too this & I this is like my story! I tried all the expensive extras I even looked at going to the London clinic, I've taken a fat loan & now I'm using cryos in Denmark!!! Spooky.... sadly I will continue to pay what ever they ask 😔

Good that it is getting some airtime, it is a horrible racket!

From lack of in depth fertility investigations (read Prof Winston's thoughts), cos they aren't cost-effective statistically for NICE (I am an individual, not part of a population sample!)

To NHS clinics in same rooms as private.

To drugs companies with dual pricing (allegedly).

To extras that sound useful, and don't seem to make anything worse but aren't proven to give consistently better results.

To Natural & Mild, but there's no ongoing research side-by-side with conventional, to help you decide.

And no research into anything for over 38's.
