Just thought I'd post something comical in case anyone needs a smile, inspired by other ladies who have also done so over the last couple of weeks...my hubby and I are away for the weekend and thought we'd arrive in time to do my injection. However as we ladies know, life doesn't go to plan. We got stuck in bat traffic so have had to pull into a lay by off a very busy duel carriageway to 'shoot up' so to speak π We thought we were safe from prying eyes but no, of course not, that would mean life was straightforward wouldn't it!! I don't know what the family who passed us thought (I had the door open to let the dog out for a tinkle!) but we didn't hang around to find out!

Oh, the whole thing is so undignified! I was at a comedy show (booked before treatment started) that massively over ran during my first treatment. Luckily, I brought my injection in a cool pocket in my handbag just in case. Was the weirdest thing in the world having to inject in the toilet stall and really felt everyone knew what I was doing. I have learnt through this process to hold my head high and try to laugh as much as possible ... it is really the only way to bear the crazy madness!!
It certainly is Datak! I've also had to do it in a tesco car park π Hopefully one day we can drive past these places and remember that they helped us achieve our dream! At least you didn't get targeted by the comedian at the club when you got up (hope you didn't anyway!) xx
Ah yes, injecting in a pub toilet at a family gathering , and having taken a bag of ice to keep it cool that then leaked all over the floor....been there done that
Yep, we're nearing the end of a 2 month break at the moment - starting our third collection cycle mid August and then potentially our first transfer after that x
Haha Georgina I feel your pain! Twice I had to 'shoot up' in busy multi story car parks! You feel like you're doing something really naughty when you're trying to conceal it don't you! Oh well, I think we can all agree that we've been through much less-dignified situations throughout our 'journeys'! It's not exactly a glamorous process is it?! x x x
