Day 15 of Burselin injections.......

Hi all

OK so I am on day 15 of burselin injections and thankfully my period started on Saturday so only one day late. 

We are back to ACU on Thursday for baseline scan and to hopefully start on the stimming phase.

Just a quick question (I like to be as organised as possible and working from home I have to plan weeks in advance plus it is coming to my busy time in work and from Thursday work is going to be pretty manic too)

If all goes well on Thursday how many scans will I have going forward? Will I be back to the unit every other day or will they just send me home as they have done with the burselin and leave me to it for a week or so? 

Also (I appreciate everyone is slightly different) but after how many days roughly did you all then go to egg collection?

Hi isitonlyadream.  Hopefully just one scan after 7 days of stims.  Obviously, clinics differ, but that is about average.  Good luck!  Diane

I went every other day when I was stimming on my 1st round which was a long protocol but I have just done a short protocol and they only scanned me once while stimming. All depends, each clinic varies lovely x

I am on the long protocol so I will ask when we go on Thursday - I don't mind lots of scans I am just trying to be as organised as possible!

Hi holly I think i remember having 2 scans and then being booked for egg collection, i was the same and tried to be really organised sometimes its impossible because u have no idea how ur body will react, i remember predicting when id need time off for ec but turned out i needed an extra week of down regulation before i even started stimms, i realised it was best to be as organised as i could be but at the same time remembered to have a plan b, really do hope ur scan goes well on thursday x
