HIV testing

Me and my partner had a failedcycle around may last year we are now thinking of trying again how long does a HIV test last as don't really want to pay out another £400 for the same result ???

I think you're asking how long it's valid for? I was told 3 months.

I think it's around 3 months too. Not sure what the rules are in your clinic but could your GP or local sexual health clinic not do a test and you can give a printed copy of result to your clinic?

We got tested at one clinic then transferred to another about 18 months later and they never asked to test it again. I hope they don't ask you to test again as like to say it's pointless for the same result and a waste of money which can be used for more important things.

Hi , I can't remember how long they are valid for but it's def 3 months or less. I went to my local sexual health clinic and they did all the screening for free and sent letters to ivf clinic. Just make sure you get a pretty specific list from the ivf clinic as to what EXACTLY they need you to be tested for. Then make sure the letter from the sexual health clinic specifies each thing and each result. Good luck!
