With my first bfp I showed at 3 months, and by 4 (sadly lost) I was definitely noticeably pregnant!!! I think it depends on your build too. I carry a bit more weight already.
I told family and close friends early on. But waited until 14 weeks to tell anyone else because that's when I had my dating scan. Now everyone at work knows and I'm 16 weeks tomorrow. I feel like I'm definitely showing and have had maternity jeans since week 10 (carrying twins). Weight gain has plateaued a little now though and I was out for dinner with some ladies on Tuesday night and they didn't think I was showing much. It depends on what you wear to disguise it too, you can be clever with this. And the bump definitely gets bigger as the day goes on. You might feel like you're getting an early bump but it's largely bloating in the early weeks.Definitely wait until 14-16 weeks to tell but I would tell a handful of people close to you in case anything would happen, then you would have them as support.
Every lady is different.... So many stages to cover good your positive
Hello. I waited until I had my first scan at nine weeks until we told everyone. Once we knew everything was ok. I was lucky to have a scan that early though. Normally don't until 12 weeks. I am now 15 weeks and showing. But it does depend on each women. Xx
I felt like I was showing from really early on but I'm sure it was bloating (after eating I looked pregnant even when I wasn't!) I found some clothes fit better than others and what you wear really makes a difference (I'm now 26 weeks and sometimes still think I just look fat whereas other times it's obviously pregnancy). The bump definitely grows over the course of the day too!
In terms of telling people, I told close family a couple of days after my BFP (on my first HPT I got 1 -2 weeks preg and on second I got 2-3 weeks preg so that gave me comfort my HCG levels were increasing and it wasn't a chem pregnancy). I then told friends who knew I was going through IVF after my first scan (I think it was about 7 weeks). That was quite hard because they knew I had finished the treatment and were wanting to know how it had gone so I just lied and said HPTs didn't work because you were being pumped full of hormones and could easily get a false positive. Not sure whether they believed me or not but they didn't push me on it. Then I told the rest of the world after our tests had come back from the 12 week scan, so would say I was 14 weeks.
Good luck with it and there's nothing wrong with being positive and picturing the end game! I have read that this positive mind set can gel things to succeed!
