Hi ladies,

Hey, from three rounds of batching I got 3 pgs normal.
1 from 6 blastocysts
1 from 6 blastocysts
1 from 4 blastocysts
I was 38 for all cycles. So not great numbers but at least I was consistent on each round! I've read other posts where some people get no normals on one round and then the next round they get a few! Xxx
Thank you so much! Can I ask if you had any success with them? I had a PGS normal transfer, but miscarriage at 8/9 weeks so am petrified to do another one....x
Sorry to hear that. There are no guarantees with any of this process, we can only pray and hope! I'm in my two week wait so don't know just yet xxx
Best of luck to you - my doctor said it’s a 55% chance of a live birth which are brilliant odds! Xx
Hey hun, they say after 35 years of age 1 in 10 in normal 😱which is crazy...from my 2 rounds I got 5 blastocysts, 3 abnormal, 2 non tested (one didn’t implant and one ended up in mc)....I then moved to donor egg!
I've just sent 6 biopsies off this week, so will let you know the results (I'm 35, although 34 when collected and had 2 transfers of untested that failed to implant). Have you sent any off yet or deciding if to do it??
Hi do you mind me asking the ones you have sent for testing are they previously frozen blasts?xx
Yes! They were collected back in August and we did a freeze all (due to risk of OHSS). We didn't even know about this testing back then! All good grades for freezing (one slightly below the others, that didn't get to blast until day 6), but others all top quality blasts. We had 2 fail to implant, so now went for the testing. They were thawed (and had to expand again to be able to be tested). They all did that fine and were biopsied with no problems. They've now been re-frozen and the biopsies sent off for testing. We are awaiting the results! Maybe another week or two. Fingers 🤞
I think it is not only depends on the age but many other things like protocol, whether both take supplements. I had one cycle of IMSI (husband has high DFI) at 36, got 5 blastocysts didn’t do the PGS but transferred 3 all no implementation. At the age of 37, I did another IMSI cycle, 3 out of 5 blastocysts are normal. My clinic told me during the waiting period of PGS results, at my age, I can expect 1-2/5 is normal but we got 3. So I believe each month the quality of eggs and sperms are different.
Age 36 I didn’t get any normals. I was allowed to transfer a low level mosaic but ended in BFN
I decided not test on the next egg collection and transferred 2 non tested blastocysts and I gave birth to twins 2 weeks ago
Wow! Congratulations!! Thank you xx
At 38 years old I did my retrieval cycle. I had 44 eggs retrieved. 24 fertilized, 12 made it to day 5 for PGS testing and 5 came back normal.
I had 20 eggs collected at 35.5 yrs old and managed 8 blastocysts , 6 of which were day 5. I decided to not test and my first transfer is my 18 month old son! I’d like to give him a sibling but nervous of chancing it with the remaining untested. I read even in late thirties up to age 40 70% of ladies can expect at least 1 normal embryo per cycle. However if your closer to the 40 end it might be advised to test as time is a factor to not inadvertently transfer many aneuploid embryos when time is of the essence. X
