Hi did anyone else experience really bad abdominal pain after egg collection. I had mine on Friday and it's still really bad and my tummy is really swollen.
Just want to check if this normal as I was a high OHSS risk.
Thanks

It's fairly common, I know someone who had it and went on to have a successful transfer.
Take regular paracetamol (try just one every 2-3 hours but no more than 8 in 24 hours) and it's ok to use heat on your abdomen at the moment. Drink lots of fluid and try to balance rest with moving about. Give your clinic a call for advice too. They should have provided a sheet on ohss symptoms, so follow their guidance.
Hope you feel better soon x
Hey Hun! Yeah I did don't worry I developed cysts on my ovaries after and it totally normal! Worrying tho when u hear people say they are back at work the next day!😬 I couldn't even stand straight and the weight of my phone laying on me belly way painful I was so scared I didn't say anything either which was naughty but u just don't want to risk anything stopping you getting transfer! Well anyways they told me on transfer that's what I had! And it went perfectly "text book" the consultant said! Got a BFP and I'm just over 17 weeks!! There's lots of symptoms for OHSS so keep ur fluids up rest and take some paracetamol and hot water bottle helps!! But do keep and eye on those symptoms just incase maybe speak to ur clinic to put ur mind at ease
Good luck lots of baby dust xxx
Hi I posted on here too because I wasn't sure how normal it was to be in constant pain days after but I was reassured that it is fairly common. I know what you're going through but hang on in there, each day it'll get a bit better xx
Thanks ladies really appreciate your responses. Glad to hear it's quite normal 😊 x x
