Hi,

I have just spoken to the clinic I have been referred to for the next stages of our IVF cycle. I have to call on my first day of my period to arrange a scan and go from there I guess... my question is, what tends to happen after this as I'm really not too sure 😊

Thanks for any information you can pass on !!x

Hello! I think it will all depend what protocol you're on so this might not be exact!

But generally you will go through down regulation which shuts off your ovaries. You then receive injections of a follicle stimulating hormone. You then have a couple of scans go check how the follicles develop. Once they'll clinic are happy with how they're progressing you will be booked in for egg collection and advised when to take your trigger injection. After egg collection it's fertilisation follwed by transfer after 3 or 5 days.

I started down reg on day 21 of my cycle. I had 11 days of injections followed by my trigger shot last night. Egg Collection is tomorrow morning and we'll see what happens after that!!!

Hope this answers your question!

Best of luck 🍀
