Hi I have my first apoitment at glasow , my partner to take sample can anyone else tell me what happens , and is there another waiting list after this appoitment ?? I have recieved 2 appoitment one this month one next was just wondering if was waiting list after these 2 appoitments ???

Hi I am in the same boat my partner has his appointment next Friday at Glasgow for sample then we have another appointment on the 19th been on waiting list since May and was told it was 18/24month waiting list so I am thinking it maybe just a first appointment then a further waiting list xx

I have just came out my first appoitment al it was my partner gave sample to receptinest and that was it , my second appoitment is also the 19th x

My friends has went threw ivf few years bk she says after the first 2 appoitments they start treatment so maybe not be another waiting list xx

Yeah that's what my partners app is for next Friday I think we have to go to appointment on he 19th to make sure we meet criteria (non smokers, bmi is okay etc) and Ivf is required n then we are placed on waiting list again hate the waiting game xx

I was thinking of phoning the second appointment letter and asking if there is another waiting list or if that's treatment starting as I don't think I can wait another 4 wks lol xx

I am at work just now so can't phone until tomorrow as I don't finish till 7 but I shall give it a go tomorrow n see how I go my partner tried but as it was myself that was referred they can't speak to him . Worried as our iui starts in next couple weeks partner has samples to hand in on Monday and the following so worried they clash xx

Hi im going to be having treatment at liverpool hosp i no its not glasgow but im sure pricedures will be similar.. we had two consultations which involved a seman sample and filling out some forms. Then 9 weeks later we got an appointment to go to a group information meeting for 2 hrs.( as soon as u have group meeting you should start treatment soon after). we were given an ivf info pack, it had a letter inside with an apt to see nurse for blood testa.. that happened a week after the group meeting. A week later i got a letter for consultation to go in on the 21st of this month.. to sign consent forms etc.. i have to wait until the 1st day of my next period to ring them up. They will get me in to show me how to give myself the injects etc.. hope this helps x

Hi I managed to give them a phone my appointments I have been given are to get assessed get all the tests done to make sure I need Ivf and I will be placed on the waiting list so now I am unsure if I start the 18/24 month wait all over again already done 6 months of it xx

Yeah I have unexplained fertility everything is okay with tests etc but due a bowel op 7years ago they have referred us to glasgow I dunno why they are assessing me again but just need to wait until the 19th I suppose n see whatbhappens x

This month will probably be to see the specialist nurse at which you will just go over the information they have and to request bloods if you haven't already had them done. The bloods I had requested was on the 2nd day of my cycle and the 22nd day but yours may be different. You'll probably be weighed and measured to.

The second appointment will probably be to meet the specialist/consultant.
