I have my appointment on monday with the consultant

I have my first appointment with the consultant on monday. I have had my blood test and my husband has had his seman tested. Does it mean on monday we will get our results. Does anyone know what the next step will be?

Hi mii123 it will depend on whether u r private or nhs, and also what the bloods were checking, when I was waiting on my 5 day and 21 day bloods they took 2 weeks and the same with the seman test. However private is the next day or same day depending. The doctor will discuss the potential reason for infertility and then will tell u what the next step is for u, treatment wise, for me I had to go private for my treatment as the nhs waiting time was too long for me to wait for ivf. For us, at this point I have a laparoscopy and dye test to make sure my tubes were ok, I also don't always ovulate in my cycle so after it was confirmed my tubes were ok we tried 2 cycles of clomid before moving on to IVF. Although I was quite frustrated by needing to do this in the end it was good, my IVF cycle didn't go well and was cancelled and converted to IUI which was successful, however if we'd not know my tubes were clear we couldn't have gone with this option. We were private IVF patients BTW, everything up to our actual IVF was as NHS patients, just for info.x Good luck on Monday.xx
