First time around I had awful nausea for ages, well beyond 12 weeks, probably up to third trimester but by then it came and went without any pattern really. I did have a bad bout around 20/21 weeks when I think I read could be due to when the baby is going through a significant growth spurt and physical changes involving masses of hormones - in particular something to do with hair growth (eyebrows even). This time around the nausea pretty much went by 10 weeks but again somewhere around the 21 week mark it returned for a week or so, and has happened a few days at a time since, but nothing like it was in the early stages. Eating little and often seems to help whereas nothing really did last time. So it's normal for me but your midwife can hopefully reassure you.

Hi. I wouldn’t say it was normal, but hope will pass again. Keep your midwife informed and keep sipping water. Hope it settles again. Diane

The nausea I've had in later weeks has been heartburn/reflux related. Treating that helped.

yes my worst nausea was in second trimester. I actually started throwing up around then. Didn’t really clear for me till 3rd trimester and even still have nausea sometimes in the morning. But I hadn’t had much in first trimester - I think it can just happen throughout. Annoyingly!

Thank you for your reply. Yes , very annoying 😅 I didn't have much nausea in first trimester either.

I had dry crackers and also some ginger helped, but the nausea lasted a couple of days and i have been fine since x

Great. You can also take vitamin B6 to help with nausea.
