20 weeks scan - additional blood vessel on heart

Hi everyone, we had our 20 weeks scan, and baby is looking good and healthy, I’d love to say it was all smooth sailing but they found an additional blood vessel on the babies heart. It has the correct number of chambers just an additional vessel. They said it shouldn’t impact the baby but are referring us to a fetal cardiologist in the next 3 days so that’s good it’s so quick. It’s so hard not to worry. I was wondering if anyone has had this before with their babies? as they said it isn’t uncommon. Thanks x

Hi PrincessGurn. Hope all went well when you saw the cardiologist. I have heard of this before and all went well. Good luck! Diane
