Just wondering if anybody here has high blood pressure even before pregnancy. And did you have preeclampsia? I have been diagnosed with high blood pressure over a decade ago and have been on maintainance medication ever since. My meds were changed to labetolol now that I'm pregnant but it seems to be very poorly controlled with it. Im afraid i will have preeclampsia in no time or is it still possible that I won't have it even with my background medical history. Im seeing my GP next week and hoping he would adjust my meds accordingly but should i see my GP more often for close monitoring? I am still on my first trimester.

Hi Sweethear, thank you so much for responding. Is it okay to ask what dose of labetolol were you on.? My GP ordered for a 24hr BP monitoring, whatever the result, he will adjust my labetolol. But i am already on 400mg twice a day, thats a bit high dose already and yet my BP seems to be all over the place.
