Hello lovely. Ugh so stressful! You may be able to avoid getting it by keeping all the windows cracked open, sleeping in different rooms (he should keep his door shut!) and ensuring he wears a decent mask if he needs to go in communal areas of the house.

I have managed to avoid it so far (don’t know how long that will last when it’s literally everywhere!) but if you search “Covid” there are lots of reassuring threads from others on here.

Thanks so much for your kind message. We are lucky to have a spare room - so I am camping out here. The line was very faint so praying it just goes away!

Yes best to stay away from each other for a while! Hope he’s not feeling too unwell.

I got covid shortly after my BFP! My partner tested positive for covid on my OTD 🤦🏻‍♀️ and I got it the following week. So I was not quite 6 weeks, I guess. It wasn't fun but everything was totally fine with the babies and their development.

We have a pretty tiny flat and he stayed away as much as possible but these things happen. All fingers crossed you can avoid it though! X

Hi there two of my friends for covid in their first 12 weeks and both have given birth to two perfect girls, so it's possible for it to have no impact 😁.

I am in the two week wait now and think my partner and I both have it, so I am using the fact that nothing happened to them as my positive story.

Thanks - this does help. Hope you get better soon. Thanks for taking the time to respond x

Hi hun, hope your partner isn’t feeling too bad! Can’t say anything about if you do catch covid but just wanted to say my husband had it 2-3 weeks ago and I am 24 weeks so we kept windows open, slept different rooms and extra cleaning of common touch points and so far I have avoided it. Same thing before my pregnancy, I had it in January and my husband didn’t get it then from me and we did the same thing so it is definitely possible to avoid it… just thought to give you some hope!

Thanks so much. That really helps. We are lucky we have a spare room so I am using that. Will wash the towels etc too.

That does give me hope x

Hey Eb20,My partner got covid in the 2nd week of my 2ww. We split the house in half & I didn’t let him in the kitchen. Was a lot more work for me but paid off as I got my BFP & didn’t catch it.

Hope you manage to keep virus free x

Ah thanks for your response - we are sleeping in separate rooms and avoiding each other and masks inside.

Praying I can avoid it.

Your message gives me hope x

Hope you’re holding up ok! Some family friends had the same and they managed to stay apart in the house and not pass it on so deffo possible! My daughter brought covid home a couple of weeks ago when I was nearing 7 wks. I had a verrrrrry faint line but realised I must have caught it from her as I was with her all the time so didn’t try to keep separate. But just as reassurance if you do get it, my baby is ok! Xx

Thanks for this message! X
