I Have had two early miscarriage’s in the last 5 months, one was an ivf pregnancy and the other was a natural one. I’m waiting for my bloods to come back from the recurrent miscarriage clinic to check for any issues but I’m not due to speak to anyone until December now. So far nothing has been picked up…
I’ve just peed on a stick and there is a very faint line… Period is due on Saturday but I’ve been getting lots of weird symptoms. Not getting hopes up! I’ve got loads of cyclogest pessaries leftover from the ivf, I’m tempted to just start using them in an attempt to support anything that might be happening… what do you think? Has anyone done that?

Hello, congratulations on a positive test! Ive not used progesterone to supplement a natural pregnancy. I would avoid doing so without medical attention.
Hi, very exciting to get another positive, congratulations. With regards to progesterone, usually with IVF you take it until a positive test result and stop on a fresh cycle. For repeat miscarriage however you do carry on. But that needs to be for the whole of the first timester or for as long as your doctor tells you to. Once started stopping abruptly midway can cause issues. Its worth noting progesterone can't stop miscarriages unfortunately, they just maintain the lining longer. Its best to speak to your health care professional. Hope everything works out for you.
Thankyou for your help. I spoke to the recurrent miscarriage clinic today and they’ve prescribed cyclogest and low dose aspirin. I know it doesn’t prevent it entirely but I’m just hoping it might help this time. It’s good to feel like I’m trying a different approach x
