I have recently been told my funding for NHS IVF has been approved.
I called the clinic I have been referred to and was told my first appointment will hopefully be around September time.
Me and my partner have obviously already had all the tests done, so can anyone please advise me on what happens on your first appointment and when your likely to start treatment following the initial appointment please.
Also any advice or tips on how to improve my chances of it working, diet, exercise etc. would be appreciated.
Thanks ☺️

Hiya! At our first appointment with the nursing team it was getting injections ready and giving a schedule of when you take them etc and appointments for your scans. I couldn’t believe how quick the ball got rolling after our first appointment as we went through it during covid and seemed to be months between our tests and consultant appointments!
I continued working whilst going through treatment as found keeping my mind off it helped and drank plenty of fluids! I did try and eat a bit better but your body is going through a lot so wasn’t too strict with it!
Hope this helps and good luck on your journey I have everything crossed ❤️ Any questions just ask away xx
Thank you for replying 🙂When I last spoke with the consultant in may, he told me he was referring me for funding and following that it would be around a 5 month wait. I recieved the news the funding had been approved in the last week of June, so I'm really shocked they have said September.
I don't feel like I have prepared my body enough physically, so will try my best to do what I can do now.
Thank you, I hope everything works out for you too 🙏 xx
