Hello! I'm very new to this forum, infact this is my first post so hopefully you will have a little bit of advice for me. Myself and my husband have been TTC for 6 years and are currently on the IVF waiting list and have been told it will be August time and I was wondering if anyone else who has been through IVF can give me any tips of what to expect? Anything they don't tell you. For example someone mentioned to me that I it can feel sick off the injections etc.. was the first time successful?
Any stories (good or bad), tips, advice will be fantastic.
Love Mrs Allen

We are hopefully due to have our first round of ivf in the next couple of months so unfortunately i don't have any advice but wanted to post to say good luck and see what others post! xx
I am currently 36 weeks pregnant from my 3rd transfer. I had 2 full rounds of IVF, 1st fresh transfer didn’t work and I had nothing to freeze. The second fresh transfer didn’t work and I got 1 embryo to freeze. A couple of months later I used my frozen embryo and it worked 😊. Everyone reacts differently to the drugs, it also depends what protocol you do. I honestly found the injections and process really easy, it was the emotional side I struggled with. I kept my body healthy and went to yoga and meditation, which really helped me (never done it before, but it helped). IVF is way more daunting than it is, it’s just the emotional aspect when it doesn’t work, but I know a lot of people it worked for first time! Everybody is different. Good luck on your journey xxx
Welcome to the forum, you'll find a brilliant bunch of supportive ladies (and the odd gent) on here. For me the injections and meds were pretty uneventful. The worst bit for me was egg collection as I didn't respond well to sedation and found the procedure very painful. This is very rare though from what I've read. The emotional rollercoaster of treatment is also very hard. Hormones up and down causing lots of mood swings and a few tears here and there. All worth it if it gets us closer to our goal. Best of luck with your cycle!
Hiya! In my experience it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be- I'm nearly 34 weeks after having my first transfer..... I stressed myself out thinking everything was going to go wrong after seeing certain stories around, so my advice would be try to stay off the internet and don't Google things, trust your doctor's opinion and keep busy during the time. Good luck Hun xxxxx
Hi, Mrs Allen! I went IVF for my last time in Ukraine and we finished from the second attempt, it was successful and I'm still happy of that! Now I'm on my 25 week. Medications I've taken due to the program were passing without side effects and considerable complications. What's the result of your story? Was it already completed?
