How much impact does a Binge session have on Sperm?

We have been trying for a couple of years. We had initial tests and my husband has low motility & morphology.

We are taking supplements and lifestyle changes before considering ICSI.

My husband is on a binge drinking session today, I'm really annoyed as he said he wouldn't drink much. He also has one planned in May.

His job is very stressful and I also worry that the stress is damaging his fertility.

How much of an impact does the binge drinking have? He rarely drinks alcohol at other times.

We are 40 and I feel we should be making the best effort we can :-( :-(

Bless you that lack of control is SO frustrating isn’t it!? I am not sure what your plans are in terms of when you hope to start IVF but I am pretty sure one or two sessions won’t make a difference. All through our IVF my OH refused to take supplements, drank, had load of caffeine etc and his samples were always fine. I spent a lot of time resenting him but the only person who lost out was me being wound up! We all need an escape occasionally so hopefully the benefit to his mental health will outweigh your angst! Heaps of luck xx
