IUI after IVF

Hello everyone,

After failed implantation of my last 2 embryos, we are trying an IUI cycle. Have my baseline ultrasound and start letrozole today. We tried IUI prior to IVF but had to cancel due to follicles stalling.

Any success stories?? Looking for some inspiration!

I'm afraid I cannot be of much help here. We tried IUIs prior to IVF rounds. But I guess you should trust your dr. If she feels ok with pushing you onto IUI shot after failed IVF - then it's better to follow the recommendation. Also sorry to hear about your embies implantation failure..Our last time successful dr decided on placing back 2 blasts. Unfortunately one of them vanished. We cannot know the reason what and why it happens inside..Hope you'll get more answers soon. Stay well and take good care of yourself.

Hi lovely. I'm sorry for your IVF failure. Well, I really do not have an inspirational story of mine for you. IUI was never the way out for us, for me in particular. Because I was born without womb. so to have our DD we had to pass surrogacy. I know for sure IUIs are advised prior to IVF. This is usually not just 1 round. From what I've read docs suggest passing 2-3 shots before moving onto IVF. May I ask, why didn't you wait for another IUI round after your#1 being cancelled? Seems like decision made in haste. I might be mistaken of course. Did your doc want you to go down IVF immediately? Or was it your own decision? Anyway, looks like you're pretty sure with your next steps.
