I have had my entire right ovary removed due to a 6 1/2lb tumor when i was 9 and half of the left due to a cluster of cyst when I was 10.... Im worried I cant have children and no doctor can tell me much about that because apparently they've never heard of that happening... I feel like a freak cause I don't know anyone with this same problem I have tried since I was 17 (I'm 23 now) to consive and nothing has happened I dont know if I was suppose to be on hormone replacements or what it's scary not to know what is going on with my body... Someone please help!!!!

Please help!!!!
I had an ovarian tumour removed just over 12 years, and I've conceived five times. You will most likely find that your other ovary will compensate and ovulate every month (even when you had two, they didn't alternate - I assume it still functions, else they may have removed it too? Do you have periods? Have you tried ovulation sticks - they'll tell you if you are ovulating, and if not I'd visit your GP. I haven't found it to be an issue at all, but if you've been trying to conceive for over a year, it's worth going to your GP to be referred for fertility testing, in case it's something else. Good luck x
I was told they left the fertile half and that if I did start my period them I could possibly get pregnant i started at 12 but I am curios will the cyst still on my ovary cause a problem
You've still got plenty of time... but I do think you should visit your GP. I didn't try to conceive till I was in my early 30s, but as I say, I didn't have any trouble, and my one remaining ovary is covered in cysts x
