Hi everyone,

I’m 6 weeks pregnant and as some of you know have a history of 6 miscarriages. I had a tiny bit of spotting around week 3 but then had three HCG blood tests and the numbers were great and doubling. Skip to this morning I spoke up to quite a bit of red brown blood blood (not pale and little like before) with very slight achy back and tummy.

Any positive stories to help me get through today?

💔

How are you doing now Corchi? I hope it settled down for you, I understand that fear of seeing blood too well.

Thanks for your concern. So far so good - saw a heartbeat so just taking each day as it comes! No blood for last week 🙏🏼

Oh that is great news, so pleased for you :) Did you try anything different this pregnancy, progesterone or anything?

Nothing different then the rest as I had some form of blood with the last one too and I have had 6 miscarriages so always heparin injections daily, 2 x progesterone vaginally and when bleeding was more than spotting a lentogest progesterone injection every 4 days ….

Oh my goodness, it's a stressful time isn't it?! So great that you've seen the little heartbeat and the bleeding has stopped. I was put on progesterone pessaries in my last successful pregnancy but sadly have had recurrent miscarriages since which I wasn't on progesterone for those. So I am hopeful that if the gynae agrees to put me back on next time, I might have a better outcome. Also have thyroid issues though which is complicating things at the moment.

I would say fix your thyroid issue first and then take the pessaries no matter what (dont bother with prog test) and have you looked in to heaprin injections? I have had 6 miscarriages so kind of an expert. Doesnt hurt to ask your doctor? Let me know if i can help with anything x

Thanks that's my plan now I think, starting with the thyroid and then my gynae appointment should be through so hopefully can get a plan in place. Been bottling a lot of it up so its been quite helpful coming onto here and chatting to others and feeling less alone in it all :)
