Hi. I don't really post on these things but because I have server social anxiety and anxiety in general plus bad depression. But I need some help and encouragement.

My mom has had nash cirrhosis since 2018. She has varies and maybe ascites.

The doctor she is seeing is a gastroenterology.

She had a ultrasound and upper gi done a few months ago and he said everything looked okay. But then at her follow up appointment he said that her cirrhosis is getting worse, because he platets are getting lower. And that she needs to go to a transplant center.

I am scare that she won't able a candidate because she has heart problems and has multiple stents and had two heart attacks in 2022. She has heart failure from the heart attacks but her heart doctor says that her heart is getting stronger.

My mom and sister is all i have left. My dad died when i was twelve-year-olds, My mom is my best friend and my mental health supporter. Iam just so scare to lose her that I have been having panic attacks. And yes I see a doctor for my mental health problems and I'm on medicine.

Please if you are the religious type like my family can you please pray for us that everything will be okay.

Is there any tips or ways that can help my mom get better?

You might see if there is a hepatologist that your mother could see. They are the specialists in liver disease and would be the ones who could best evaluate her.

I feel for you! I always worry and get scared when my father falls ill. I know this feeling! The least your mother can do is stop smoking and drinking alcohol and improve her eating habits as much as possible. Lots of rest and no stress! Also I would take her to another doctors for assessment and second opinions. I keep fingers crossed for her!

Thank you. She has never smoked or drink, and we are improving her diet to lean chicken, fish and veggies, with fruit for snacks. Also limiting how much salt she eats in day

Will be sure to say a prayer for you and your mom. There is good advice here and on the fatty liver foundation site. Kind regards.

If she is not seeing a hepatologist, a regular doctor doesn't really know. I've been in stage 4 for 23 years and always seen a hepatologist. Your liver runs your whole body. In other words can be part of the heart problem. She definitely needs to talk with a hepatologist which most also work with transplant doctors or are transplant doctors. They know best. They talked to me about the living liver 10 years ago. Good luck, and many prayers.
