First results of life style change! Liver function markers are confusing!

So after two and half month aggressive lifestyle change which resulted in losing 13.3 Kg, I did some tests to see the impact:

- Abdominal Ultrasound:

Result: Fat deposit in liver is at minimum stage

-Blood Test:

Result: significant reduction in Lipid Profile values:

Three Months ago Current

triglycerides 2.12 mmol/L 1.17 mmol/L

Cholesterol 5.2 mmol/L 4.2 mmol/L

Liver functions markers:

Result: confusing result! at least to me :(

Three Months ago Current

ASAT 30 36 (Why?)

ALAT 57 49

GGT 66 31

Platelet Count 226 181

The fact that ASAT value has increased (even slightly to higher end of normal range) concerns me as this has increased my FIB-4 score to 1.02 :(

Am I doing something wrong in my new lifestyle? Any feedback or thought would be welcome.

Regards,

Mir

Hi! I think your results are great. All values improved except AST but it’s still within the range, isn’t it? I thought the bracket for AST is 0-40? AST isn’t related only to liver but to other organs too. I’ve heard it might increase if you exercise excessively for instance. It could be also result of your weight reduction. But anyway you did a marvelous job improving your results. I wish I achieved the same😉
