I am so depressed since I am diagnosed with Nash F2 S2. I am 38 old . It was a shock for me as I didn't complain from any pain. My hepatologist said it's reverdable , should I believe him. My FIB 4 is normal it's 0.456. I need your help and advise and if there is any update on antifibrotic drugs under trails. I can't stop thinking of how long I can live. Love you all.

Nash and need help
Hi Moe
You are lucky to have been diagnosed early. Most don't find out until F4 so first thing, take a deep breath and relax a bit. Your doc is right. You should believe him. You have to pay attention to your lifestyle with a good diet and exercise program but there is every reason to think you can manage this and live a normal life. Lots of info on the website. Here is a link to get you started.

You can possibly reverse this with a change in diet. No fast food and no alcohol. Exercise walking is good swimming is better. It depends alot on you dedicate yourself to beating this and you will be fine. As NASH2 states by the time the worst of it comes home to roost you may find there is a cure. Until then Fight like you life depends on it. Because it does!
Moe I went through depression too in 2014 when diagnosed. Just live as you are able with diet changes. I spent too long worrying but now I am doing better. Use no sugar protein bars and drinks. They helped me alot with nausea. Just do your best every day.
Do you have supportive family? I have to say I don't so I understand your anxiety. Before my diagnosis I never thought about my liver because I don't drink alcohol. However, I am a sweets addict and I have learned that sugar is dangerous. If you can stay connected here. I have learned so much from others going through the same thing. This also may not be your thing but I listen to YOU TUBE videos of affirmations while I sleep. You can choose your topic but there are meditative videos for reducing anxiety or healing and so on. Take care of you
How have you been since you were diagnosed. Liver disease is a shock that really shifts your view of life. For me still take it day at a time as my energy changes day to day. Hope you are well.
Hi. Have you been checked for diabetes? There are trials going on for fatty liver problems at Nottingham. At the moment, however, they are suspended because of Covid-19. I was diagnosed recently C3/F4 at Nottingham. I got my GP to initiate me on pioglitazone until the trials re-open. The other option was vitamin E but, as I am on Testosterone replacement therapy that comes with an possible increased risk of prostate cancer, the possible extra increased risk of prostate cancer from the vitamin E was not an option for me.
