Appreciating small successes, a BM before a shower, what makes your day?

As you get older and deal with health issues, it is interesting how the things that make your day change. I would never have predicted that having a BM before taking a shower would be the source of a bit of joy. This song by George Burns has meaning for me it didn't have when I was younger

After I have had a hard bout of it and feeling pretty sure that I’ve had about enough, I look through pictures and photos of all the amazing and beautiful places I have seen in my life. I may never be able to go again, but I did once and that brings a smile to my face as I recall loved ones that I got to share it with.

I’ve never taken the time to actually appreciate all the flowers that bloom even in the dark - until I got sick. I find my life is better than its ever been and my health is like the spring wind - not much I can do about it but ride out the wind and enjoy the calm days.

Thanks so much Wayne for all your time effort and energy. You’ve made my life immeasurably better.

Thanks BU2B

It does cast a different light on many parts of life. I find that I find great value in the little things that went unnoticed when I was just rushing through life. I regret that I didn't learn to do that earlier in life. My memories would be richer had I been smarter along the way.

I'll drink to that...oh wait, I can't drink, at least not alcohol.A good night's sleep means more to me than a great meal. In fact, it is 4:16 AM and I've been up reading, watering plants, and checking my e-mails.

Oh well, hopefully tonight I will sleep better.
