Hi everyone,

I am new to this community. I am currently on high blood pressure medication and my intention is to come off medication and manage my high blood pressure through excersice and healthy eating, I am adding on time restricted eating as well as I read an article that stated that time Restricted Fasting could help lower blood pressure. I started two days ago, I eat between 10am and 6pm. Any tips and ideas will be most appreciated.

Hi,Your window between dinner and breakfast 14 hours. what do you east for breakfast, lunch and dinner?

I take no snacks between meals. If you Google, Dr PAL, a South Indian doctor live in USA and have produced many video on health, please take a look at them. I found the videos very informative and helping me.

Do you take any medication for BP?

Thanks for your reply. I like porridge , so most mornings my breakfast is porridge made with oats mixed berries and live yogurt, sometimes it's a smoothie with 1/2 avocado, spinach, small banana mixed seeds and nuts. Lunch quinoa Buddha bowl- roasted mixed veg and humous, wholemeal pitta bread with mixed salad and beans. Dinner chickpeas curry with brown rice rice and a side salad. I try to vary my diet a lot, occasionally I will have salmon with steamed veg. If Snack which is not often , I would have some nuts, dried apricots or a piece of fruit.Yes I am on bendroflumezide for my high blood pressure and I desperate to get of it

Hi,Thank you for your response. We eat similar items like for our three meals. My wife is on BP medication which gives side effect of dry cough. Nuts, I count 5 at a time, which helps, almonds, I soak 5 almonds in water over night, clean the skin and eat the nut before breakfast. Avocado, try and eat small pieces which is good. I eat one avocado a week. Spinach cooked in butter with garlic and shallot onions. Lots of green leaf veg.

One of the video I watched says breathing exercise can lower BP, to star with 3 times a day. Just breath in a out for 3-5 minutes. I did this as an experiment it does work. If you like give it a try.

Take care.

Yeah, I would like a badge is it something tangible or something you sent to my email? that's exactly what I eat most mornings, a bowl of porridge with mixed berries or mixed nuts or mixed seeds and live yoghurt. I am determined to stick with it for the long term
