New valve in action

I’m new….I am recovering from open heart surgery in mid Nov during which I had a replacement aortic valve and a bypass. Recovery has been slow - not helped by catching pneumonia, but I can now walk on the level for 18 min and am building up my fitness. All hints tips and encouragement welcome!

Well done. It sounds like you are doing brilliantly! The only bit of advice I’d say is that often after heart surgery, you are really motivated to get fit again. The key is to progress at a consistent and manageable rate to allow your body to adapt and find a routine that you’ll stick to. What you’re doing now sounds great though, so keep it up!
