Post disimpaction nausea

Hi, my son is 17 (autistic with severe learning disability). We've done the disimpaction regime, achieved brown water in his nappy. Back on maintenance dose of cosmocol for 3 days so far. He's been getting nauseous in a morning when he wakes up and his tummy is making lots of noises. Just worried, is this normal? I know the ERIC website says the bowel can take a few days to settle but it doesn't mention feeling nauseous after disimpaction.

fuzzysocks Has this since settled down? Have you started reducing the dosages? If you are concerned check in with your Health Care Professional.

He's been much better the last few days since posting this, thank you, and yes, we've been back on maintenance doses for one week now, (reduced from 2 sachets to 1 sachet currently). I am keeping an eye on him this week and will ring the doctor if nausea comes back. Hoping that it was just that his tummy wasn't used to the amount of activity it was put through! (Possibly some anxiety/worry mixed in there as well as he's not able to understand what was happening)
