Hi, my son is nearly 12 and still bed wetting almost every night (the maximum he's ever stayed dry is two weeks, with 240mg desmopressin). We've tried disimpaction several times. We've tried everything... Having reached the end of my tether (and this really impacting my son's self esteem) I'm now considering seeking advice from a private clinic (the consultant at our local hospital has basically just shrugged his shoulders and given up). Has anyone got any recommendations and success stories for private clinics in the Kent, London or South East area please?

I am sorry to hear this. Must be very hard for your son and you. We saw Dr Garriboli at the Portland - and subsequently ended up under the care of the Evelina children’s hospital. Alternatively, on the Bupa page you can search for paediatric urologists in London or Kent and pick one that suits. Wishing you all the best xx

Thank you for these helpful suggestions, I will check them out xx
I also contacted the Evelina, but was told that they'd closed their list to private patients for the foreseeable future. It was quite disheartening to hear this, but hopefully they'll re-open their caseload soon...
Hi, my comment might be too late but I am in Kent too and after struggling get a referral and find a specialist in Kent (tried Spencer hospital but was unhelpful), we also went to the Portland in London and paid privately for an appointment with Dr Anne Wright (who is brilliant). We were asked to do a toilet diary etc. She then referred us to herself within the NHS at the Evelina. We have been seeing Dr Riccardo Manuele now for 2 years at the Evelina but also Dr Rfidah is our kidney specialist in Kent (Thanet).
The Kent bladder and bowel nurses have also been great at helping us navigate support as they cover all of Kent and some of south London and know all the specialists.
I hope you find someone to help and get the support you need. If you need any other names or help, I am very happy for you to message me x
This is really good to know - thank you! I'm Medway (maybe the Kent team are better!) How did you get in touch with the Portland / Dr Wright? I tried contacting the secretary of Dr Gariboli that Starryeyes2000 mentioned above, but still haven't had any response.
I can't remember if I initially rang, emailed or did a contact form but I just checked my initial emails and the signatures and I went through this contact point and the secretaries here booked us in drianhayltd.com/dr-anne-wri...
The children's bladder and bowel specialist nursing team are within the Kent Community Health Foundation Trust. Based in Whitstable but I think also Ashford so should cover you as well. Let me know if you need their contact info, even if to tell you how to get a referral x
