withholding

my son has started withholding his poo. He went 8 days without going before having a small poo. He’s now on movicol but still nothing after 2 days.

he’s looking pale and tired all the time so starting to worry this is affecting his health.

I’ve been told about a medication that they take that doesn’t allow them to withhold as it stops them having the control. Does anyone have any advice please?
