Senna use

I’ve recently disempacted my 4 year old and have given him 2.5ml for the last four nights along with a maintenance dose of 4 laxido sachets daily. Which appears to be working well. My question is, should I give him a break for the rest of the week from the senna (the bottle says to use a few days and not longer than a week) and then give him a dose every now and then? Or can I give it more regularly, for example twice a week long term?

Thanks

If it works you may have to slowly cut it out of his routine. I was going to use senna, i found natural alternatives though. Flaxseed in meals or anything they eat, which has a lot of fibre and sweetcorn with all meals.
