Help! Can’t find advice on withholding!

My daughter is 2 yrs 9montns old

We had a issue a while ago with her holding in poos and it got to a point where she would hold for 8 days! We had her on laxido and after a while of her getting used to it again and realising it wasn’t scary she was going fine very day again.

The weekend just past she had started to realise when she was going to wee and that frightened her. I kept reassure her it was just wee and it was all okay.

I took this as her being ready to potty traine and after having the potties around the house and playing with them for a while, we went for it.

I put her in big girl pants and we kept trying to make it to the potty but she wouldn’t sit in there with her pants down. She just so upset. So I thought okay not ready yet let’s forget for a little while.

Well now she’s back to holding in poos as well as wees even in nappies. She held it over night all morning at nursery and then finally let it go when we were home.

I’m just so worried about her and that it’s going to cause her infections.

I just don’t know how to ease her anxiety of it all.

Any advice would be really appreciated
