Hi everyone, my daughter who’s nearly 7 is having an ACEs Stoma in 10 days to help manage her chronic constipation after a long slog of unsuccessful medications and hospitalisation… has anyone’s child had this operation? I know it’s the best way forward and will help her no end as the last few years have been horrific, I’m just a little anxious now it’s finally getting closer about the healing process and the wash outs and emotional implications of having a stoma etc. Many thanks in advance x

Hi, I am a children's nurse and worked for 10yrs on a paeds surgical ward. I have cared for many children that had an ace and helped teach washout etc.
